Jose Arturo our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Jose Arturo Gonzales of Ranchos de Taos, age 84 was called home to his heavenly father on Friday April 20, 2012. He was born to Daniel and Teodula Gonzales. He graduated from Taos High School in 1945 and attended Adams State College and UNM. He married his lifelong sweetheart Olivia C. Arellano on January 4, 1950. Mr. Gonzales will be remembered for his deep love for his faith and family. He was a member of San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents Rafael and Manuelita Gonzales, and Manuel and Eva Archuleta. He is survived by Olivia C. Gonzales his wife of 62 years; son Miguel A Gonzales (Raylene); grandsons Daniel (Natasha) and Jose (Vanessa) Gonzales; great-grandchildren Sonya, and Jose U Gonzales; daughter Olga Webb (Gary); grandchildren Dean Webb, Shiela Webb Francisco (Dave); other grandchildren and great-grandchildren Shaylenn Webb, Kerston Webb, Roseann Vigil, Paula and Amanda Casias, Manuel Casias Otero, and Alex Casias Brown. He is also survived by his brother-in-laws, Nemey and Leo Arellano (Margie); many other nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Felipe Medina (Anita) who he thought of as his brother. He was a lifelong rancher and manager of James and Gonzales Cattle Co. whose business was a dairy and raising registered Black Angus cattle. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club for over 25 years or more and served as Lt. Governor. He was chairman of the Taos Soil and Conservation District for over 25 years. He was a World War II Veteran, proudly serving with the US Navy. Public visitation will be on Tuesday April 24, 2012 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Rivera Chapel in Taos. Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church with burial to follow at 2:15 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
